2024 Advance CTE Fall Meeting

Partner engagement through Perkins V provides opportunities for meaningful engagement and conversations on how best to support underserved learners. How can we move from meaningful conversations to meaningful action and impact? This session highlights HopeTech, a residential housing community for young adults and high school students in foster care, located at the East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) in Mesa, AZ. Attendees will gain a roadmap and steps to scale similar promising models to create impactful wraparound supports for special populations in CTE.

Learning objectives:

• Learn promising practices from two state leaders in designing wraparound supports through tailored programs for special populations.  
• Discuss common challenges and barriers in designing and implementing wraparound supports that create access to high-quality CTE programs. 
• Identify two takeaways to strengthen wraparound support work over the next year in your state.
