Breakout 4: Identifying and Incentivizing Credentials of Value

High-quality CTE programs integrate credentials that are valued by industry and align with state and local economic needs. However, meaningful processes to identify and incentivize completion of high-value credentials are still a work in progress for many states.  This session will showcase early learnings from Advance CTE’s 2025 State of CTE report on Credentials of Value and include a conversation with state leaders who are leveraging promising and innovative strategies related to credential quality and completion.

Learning objectives:
  • Provide an overview of early research and findings related to the 2025 State of CTE: Credentials of Value report. 
  • Share innovative and promising strategies related to credentials of value.
  • Facilitate discussion between participants regarding successes and challenges they are facing when identifying and incentivizing credentials.
